Persepolis Saipa

PLDC - Branko Ivankovic claimed Persepolis was the victim of the offside goal in their defeat against Saipa and he directed his anger at the match official Ashkan Khorshidi.

Persepolis lost to Saipa 2-1 in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.

TV replays showed Saipa’s player who set up the first goal was in offside position.

The Reds could win the Iran Professional League (IPL) title just with a draw.

“First of all, I congratulate Saipa for winning the match. I also thank my players who did their best in this match,” the Croat said in the post-match news conference.

“I didn’t want to talk about the referee and we always prevent our players protesting the referees but I can't say anything about them today,” Branko added.

“The referee’s decision were shameful. Saipa’s first goal was two meters offside,” Branko said.
