PLDC - Esteghlal coach Winfried Schaefer says that he must stand to show respect to his team after win over Al Rayyan.
Esteghlal football team defeated the Qatari team 2-0 in Group D of the AFC Champions League and sealed its place at the ACL Knockout Stage.
“First of all, I must stand to show respect to my players because they did well. I am satisfied with my players’ performance,” Schaefer said in the post-match news conference.
“We could have scored more than two goals; however I am happy since we made our fans happy. From now on, we are preparing for the knockout stage,” the German coach added.
“I would like to thank everyone in this match,” Schaefer concluded.
