PLDC – Persepolis captain Jalal Hosseini became the most decorated football player in Iran Professional League (IPL) on Saturday.
Hosseini surpassed Moharram Navidkia’s record for the number of titles in IPL.
Hosseini played a key role, winning back-to-back titles with Persepolis in 2017 and 2018.
He has won six titles with three teams.
The 36-year-old defender won the title with Saipa in 2007 and also claimed title with Sepahan three times in 2010, 2011 and 2012.
Hosseini also lifted the trophy with Persepolis twice, while Navidkia has won five title championships with Sepahan.
