Khalatbari

PLDC - Tehran, In the past few weeks, Persepolis has invested plenty of time and energy into taking Khalatbari from Ajman Club of the Emirates. But will this player solve the problems of the Tehrani club?

Looking at the first six weeks of action, it seems that Persepolis has no specific tactic or game-plan.

The Reds have heavily relied on individual talent, rather than team-plays and practiced drills. So when individuals are not outstanding, then the team fails, as we witnessed with the match against Naft Tehran; a game which Persepolis lost in the last moments.

What Persepolis needs is tactics and a game-plan, not season after season of signing stars and Team Melli players.

Ali Daei has even gone as far as asking Hossein Hedayati, the owner of Malavan and Steel Azin, to pay Khalatbari's release fee. Ironically, there are Malavan and Steel Azin players who are still owed money.

So what reason could there be for Hedayati to pay Khalatbari's release fee, before paying what the players of his clubs are owed? Could there be any other reason beside self-glorification?

Interestingly enough, the cost of Team Melli's camp in Portugal (which got cancelled), is merely 1/3 of the cost of Khalatbari's release from the Persian Gulf Arab football club.
