Tehran - The captain of the Iranian national team, Ali Daei, intends to return to his native country after 15 months playing in the United Arab Emirates with al-Shahab Dubai, local media reported Sunday.
Daei apparently intends signing for Pas of Teheran, despite receiving several offers to play in Europe, so that he will be able to line out for his country's qualification games in the Asian championship without a problem.
Unconfirmed reports say Daei, who had spells with German clubs Arminia Bielefeld, Bayern Munich and Hertha Berlin, is looking for over 320,000 euros a year to play in Iran, a figure beyond most clubs in the country.
