Bochum lets Oliseh go

Sports Network - Bundesliga outfit Bochum on Monday announced they had released Nigerian Sunday Oliseh following a run-in with Vahid Hashemian after Sunday's scoreless draw with Hansa Rostock. 

The midfielder, who was on loan from Borussia Dortmund, allegedly head-butted Hashemian after time. 

Prior to his release, the 28-year-old Oliseh was having a sparkling season for Bochum -- who were entertaining the idea of signing him to a permanent deal. 

"Sunday Oliseh has been released from his duties at Bochum. The reasons are connected to the aftermath of the home match against Hansa Rostock. As employers we do not wish to reveal any more details at this time," Bochum said in a statement. 

Oliseh, who previously suited up for Ajax and Juventus, joined Bochum in January of 2003.
