PLDC - Iran were held to a 1–1 draw by Lebanon on Wednesday in their AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026™ Group D match.
Iran started confidently after their big win over Chinese Taipei and took the lead in the 14th minute when Jafar Asadi cut in from the left and drove a low shot into the far corner.
Lebanon grew into the match and found the equaliser in the 65th minute. A long ball from Antoine Assaf released Eyad Eid, who struck past goalkeeper Abolfazl Hosseini to level the score.
Iran will meet Palestine next on Friday, while Lebanon prepare to face India.
