IRNA - German trainer Rainer Zobel wins the
vacant hot seat of the capital`s popular Persepolis Tuesday.
Talking to IRNA Wednesday, the club managing director Hojjatollah Khatib
confirmed the news and said the German coaches the reds in the fourth Iran
Pro League.
He added Ali Parvin is the technical manager and Mahmoud Khordbin serves as
head.
Former national skipper and Persepolis manager, Parvin, his loyal supporter
Khordbin, once national player, and few players quit prior to the third IPL
due to a reshuffle in the club.
The duo returned home as Persepolis had a lackluster performance and
finished fifth last season, leading to expulsion of Croat head coach Vingo
Begovic.
Khatib took over the job from Akbar Ghamkhar.
