TEHRAN - World's strongest
man and double Olympic gold medalist Hossein Rezazadeh will head to
Manama to boost morals of Iran's national football team in their 2006
world cup qualifier in Bahrain.
Iran and Bahrain national teams will meet on February 9 in Manama within
the framework of preliminary matches of Asia's group B for World Cup
2006 in Germany.
Iran takes on Bahrain, Japan and North Korea in group B.
General Director of Physical Education in Ardebil province Seyed Shervin
Asbaqian will accompany Rezazadeh in his visit to Manama.
Rezazadeh and other members of the weightlifting national team are due
to head to Sofia on Friday to attend Bulgaria's training camp and will
return home in a week.
Iran's national weightlifting team in Sofia training camp under the
supervision of Bulgarian coach Ivanov, preparing for the Islamic nations
competition slated in Saudi Arabia.
