IRNA - Bayern Munich forward Vahid
Hashemian whose contract with the record Bundesliga champs runs until the
summer of 2007, has been allowed to leave the club by the end of this
season, the kicker sports magazine reported Thursday.
"He (Hashemian) is unhappy here therefore he is permitted to leave," Bayern
Vice President Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said.
A frustrated reserve forward, Hashemian has failed to live up to the high
expectations following his two million euro transfer from VfL Bochum last
summer.
According to Hashemian's personal manager, Lars-Wilhelm Baumgarten, several
teams, especially second division club FC Cologne, are interesting in
signing the former Pas player.
"We will not make a rash decision. It is about finding the best solution for
Vahid," Baumgarten added.
