Mahdavikia Injured in HSV Scrimmage

Soccer365 - Hamburg coach Thomas Doll has reported that Iran winger Mehdi Mahdavikia will go on the shelf after hurting his back in a particularly spirited Tuesday training session.

He added that it was too soon to tell the extent of the injury, but the attacker is likely to miss several days.

“Annoying,” Doll snorted. “It was not too hard (of a scrimmage), it is just that the lads are in a determined mood.”

“I must admit, though, that I wish I’d ended the training session a few minutes earlier,” he added.

“Mehdi will have to take things a little easier for the next few days and he will miss the Basel (friendly) for certain.”
