
IRNA - Saba Battery scored two late goals to
stun the home team Shamoushak 2-1 in the 25th week of the fifth Iran Pro
League in Shohada Stadium of Noshahr, northern province of Mazandaran,
Sunday.
Mohammad Jabbarpour put the northerners ahead in the 43rd minute, but
Yadollah Akbari leveled the match on 87 minutes and skipper Ali Daei grabbed
the winner two minutes into stoppage time.
Referee Mohsen Qahremani booked Shamoushak players Majid Kavianpour and
Mohammad Qarib and the visitor's Yahya Golmohammadi and Saeid Beigi.
More than 2,000 fans watched the game.
Saba is in the fourth place with 39 points and Shamoushak sticks to rock
bottom with 19 points and one match in hand.
Zob holds depleted Foulad
Zob Ahan managed to hold the depleted holder
Foulad to a scoreless draw in the 25th week of the fifth Iran Pro League in
Takhti Stadium in Takhti Stadium, southern city of Abadan Sunday.
Having five players including national keeper Ebrahim Mirzapour sidelined
due to injury and suspension, Foulad dominated the visitor, but the post
denied the southerners twice in the 82nd and 88th minutes.
The tie left Foulad in the seventh spot with 34 points and one match in hand
and Isfahan's Zob Ahan in the fifth place with a 38-point asset.
Vaziri last-gasp winner
helps Saipa past Malavan
Striker Amir Vaziri scored
a stoppage-time winner to give Saipa a precious 1-0 victory over the
visiting Malavan in the 25th week of the fifth Iran Pro League in Enqelab
Stadium of Karaj, 35 km west of the capital, Sunday.
Third-placed Saipa extracted three points as Vaziri found the net with a
perfect chip two minutes into additional time.
Saipa has 45 points and Malavan is 12th with 29 points.
