IRNA - Iran's national
football team will hold their first public training session at their
World Cup base in Friedrichshafen on June 7, the official website of
Friedrichshafen announced on Monday.
The national team is due to workout in front of their fans at
Friedrichshafen's Zeppelin Stadium at 6 p.m. local time.
All 32 World Cup teams are obliged to hold at least one public training
session ahead of their first match of the 64-game football tournament.
Meanwhile Iran which is due to arrive in Germany on June 4, will play
one day later their first test match ahead of the 2006 World Cup against
a selected amateur team of the Lake of Constance (Bodensee) region.
Iran will open their third World Cup campaign after 1978 and '98 against
Mexico in Nuremberg on June 11.
