IRNA - Iran's Fereydun Zandi
and Sattar Zare' playing on the left flank sustained injuries during a
training session here Thursday.
Zare' badly damaged his knee and quit the pitch in the last moments of
the training and former Kaiserslautern midfielder Zandi is suffering
from a minor injury.
Iran takes on Mexico in their Group D opener of the 2006 World Cup in
Nuremberg Sunday and arrays against Portugal and Angola in Frankfurt and
Leipzig on June 17 and 21 respectively, according to dispatches.
