		MNA – Head of Iran’s
Futsal Committee, Mohammad-Sadeq Dorudgar, offered his resignation here
		Thursday.

Dorudgar, in his resignation letter, wrote, “With reference to previous
requests and unfair ouster of Football Federation president after Iran’s
last World Cup match, I resign as the Futsal Committee head, who has
served for nine years and won seven (Asian) championship and one third
		titles.”

He expressed hope his successor will make success, extending his
gratitude to all officials, managers, coaches, players, and journalists,
who helped the Futsal Committee develop the sporting field.

Iran’s Physical Education Organization (PEO) ousted Football Federation
president Mohammad Daadkan immediately after Wednesday’s Iran-Angola
match at the 2006 World Cup in the German city of Leipzig.

The decision was made following Iran’s lackluster performance and weak
		results in the tournament.

According to the PEO, the caretaker head will be announced Saturday.

Iran finished fourth at the Group D with meager one point out of three
games with Mexico, Portugal, and Angola. |
