Karimi to join Bayern camp next week

IRIB - Ali Karimi is set to join Bayern Munich's pre-season training camp next week, a club official said on Friday.

Ali Karimi, Julio Dos Santos and Roque Santa Cruz will begin club training on Monday, Bayern spokesman Markus Hoerwick confirmed to DPA.

All three players were allowed an extended three-week summer vacation time because of their national team engagement in the 2006 World Cup.

Bundesliga defending champs Bayern will open the new 2006-7 season at home against Borussia Dortmund on August 11.
