Ali Karimi not interested in Salzburg

SW – Out of favour Bayern Munich midfielder Ali Karimi has denied that he will be moving to Red Bull Sazburg in Austria.

The Iranian has struggled to establish himself this term with the Bavarian giants and had been linked with a move to the cashed-up Austrians in January.

Karimi did reveal that he was likely to leave Bayern at the end of the summer, but denied he was interested in a move to Austria.

"The situation [at Bayern] is not that good, but I will give all my effort until I establish myself and find my way to the first XI," said Karimi.

"There are always rumours, but the discussion of Salzburg was serious. However, Austrian football does not appeal to me.

"I think this will be my final season at Bayern Munich."
