GOAL - Bolton Wanderers’ Iranian midfielder
Andranik Teymourian has claimed that although Arsenal are interested in him,
he is going nowhere.
The 24 year-old joined the Trotters last summer after a good showing at the
World Cup.
After a slow start, he impressed in England in the second half of the
season.
“A number of English teams such as Arsenal have shown an interest in me, but
since I am under contract with Bolton, I will not be negotiating with any
team,” Teymourian told Iran Sports Press.
The former Abu Moslem star also insisted that the departure of Sam Allardyce
to Newcastle United will not affect him.
“He was a great coach who suddenly left Bolton; however, I will continue to
train with motivation and give my best and I am not paying attention to
managerial issues.
"(New coach) Sammy Lee is a good coach and he has a good relationship with
me. I don't feel that my position is endangered by the appointment of Sammy
Lee because he believes in my abilities.”
