Nekounam Wants Release Clause In Osasuna Contract

GOAL - Javad Nekounam is negotiating with Spanish club Osasuna with regard to a new contract – one that he hopes will include a release clause.

The Iranian midfielder joined the Pamplona outfit last summer and impressed in his first season in La Liga and with one game remaining, he has made a total of 38 league and cup appearances.

"I am currently in negotiations with Osasuna officials and negotiations have gone well so far. We have agreed on financial terms but have not signed anything yet,” Nekounam was quoted as saying by Iran Sports Press.

The 26 year-old added: "Everything is positive but I intend to add a clause in my new contract which would enable me to leave Osasuna and move on to another La Liga team upon receiving an offer."
