GOAL - Persepolis defeated Fajr 2-0 on Sunday – going top of the league standings with their victory.

Alireza Nikbakht Vahedi fired Persepolis ahead against the run of play. Hossein Badamaki scored the second goal of the evening late in the first half.

In the other match played, Pas managed a 3-1 win over Sepahan with Emil Aboucha netting a brace. Mohammed Alavi scored the third for Pas.

Aboucha and Alavi scored all three goals in the first 17 minutes of the match. Mohsen Benkar managed to pull a goal back for Sepahan before half time.
