PTV - Head coach of the Iranian women's football team is satisfied with performance of her side despite the squad's 4-1 loss against Vietnam.

"After two years, we had a convincing performance in the opener of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Women's Asian Cup qualifiers," Shahrzad Mozaffar said after the match at Ho Chi Minh City's Thanh Long Stadium on Monday.

"Undoubtedly, we would have acted better if our team was founded sooner and we did not make the mistakes we had done today," she added.

"I am satisfied with my players since they have done their best," Mozaffar noted, adding that the team has an ambitious goal to finish among the top eight squads in the next Asian Cup.
