PTV - Iran's head coach, Ali
Daei, asks for more preparatory matches for the national soccer team before
they face the United Arab Emirates.
Daei made the request to Iran's Football Federation officials. The match
against the UAE team on June 2 will be the third match of the World Cup
qualifier.
The coach explained that although the team has made headway, younger players
are replacing the older, more experienced members of the team and need more
matches to ensure that the players achieve better coordination with each
other.
Iran's national soccer team ended in a 2-2 draw with Kuwait in the second
match of South Africa's 2010 World Cup qualifier.
Iran is in Group five of Asian World Cup qualifying tournament with Kuwait,
Syria and the United Arab Emirates.
