PTV - Iran's Football Federation has postponed the Premier League's 5th day as it interferes with the national team's training schedule.

Iran's coach Ali Daei had said he would not allow the national team's players to rejoin their clubs until after Iran's Sep. 6 match against Saudi Arabia in the second round of the World Cup qualifiers.

The decision made it impossible for players to accompany their clubs in the fifth day of the Premier League, which was scheduled to be held Aug. 29.

Aziz Mohammadi, the head of Iran's Premier League Organization, said the fifth day of the league would probably be held after Iran's match against Saudi Arabia.

Esteqlal, Persepolis, Abu Moslem, Mes, Pas, Zob Ahan and Foulad Khuzestan were among the Premier League clubs that officially protested against Daei's decision.

Daei has called up 38 players for a friendly with Azerbaijan on August 27 and the match against Saudi Arabia.
