PFDC - TEHRAN, There were little surprises when Ali Daei announced his 23-men-squad for the second Asian Cup qualifier in Bangkok next Wednesday.

Compared to the squad that had been named for Singapore, only Esteghlal striker Siavash Akbarpour was added.

Again, no European or UAE based players were selected.

Iran defeated Singapore 6-0 in their opening game in Tehran's Azadi stadium last week while Thailand had struggled to a goalless draw in Jordan.
