Nekounam injured during Villarreal – Osasuna match




MNA - Iranian Osasuna midfielder Javad Nekounam was injured in the match against Villarreal at El Madrigal stadium in Spain on Saturday.

Nekounam was replaced by Stephen Obayan Sunny after 87 minutes due to a foot injury. The Iranian midfielder displayed a satisfying performance though he looked tired during the course of the match.

Neko is leading all Osasuna players with almost 1800 minutes played thus far this season, having participated in all Copa del Rey and all La Liga matches.

Nekounam is Osasuna’s best scorer with five goals.
