Former Esteghlal footballers win veterans football tourney



MNA - Esteghlal veteran footballers defeated their arch-rival Persepolis in the final match of the 4-a-side tournament held at the Dastgerdi Stadium on Thursday.

Hashem Heidari (10 and 31) and Behrouz Parvareshkhah (90) scored for Esteghlal and Hamid Derakhshan scored Persepolis’ sole goal in the 81st minute.

Prior to this match, Resaneh Varzesh (Iranian journalists) beat Honarmandan team (Iranian artists) 4-3 and came in third place.
