Speaking on Tuesday at the pre-match interview, he said, “We will be supported by our fans in the match. Also, for us, the three points are vital.”
Praising the UAE teams, Ghalenoei added, “I’ve studied Emirates’ football during the recent years and I know their teams very well. Al-Jazira is a high class team in terms of players and management.”
“Esteghlal will have to take advantage of their position. We’ve learnt a lot of lessons from our defeat against Al-Ittihad,” Esteghlal coach declared.
Esteghlal will play Al-Jazira in Group C on Wednesday at the Azadi Stadium in Tehran.
