PTV - English coach Bryan Robson is likely to take charge of Tehran's popular soccer team Persepolis in the Iranian Premier League next season.

Persepolis has had positive negotiations with the 52-year-old Robson, ISNA news agency said on Wednesday.

"Robson will probably be the Reds' manager if there is no change in their agreement," ISNA quoted an informed source as saying.

According to the news agency, the English coach has agreed to join Persepolis at a lower price than that offered by the German coach Klaus Toppmoller.

The 57 old-year Toppmoller has asked for an annual 800,000 euros to steer the club.

The Iranian giants had to pay 120,000 euros to Toppmoller's assistant who was scheduled to come to Tehran.

Persepolis' Portuguese head coach, Nelo Vingada, resigned after his men lost to Uzbekistan's Bunyodkor in front of 90,000 fans at home to crash out of the AFC Champions League in late May.
