Iran fails to advance to 2009 Beach Soccer World Cup



MNA - Iran lost to Japan in the Asian qualifiers for the 2009 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup on Tuesday.
In the match held at Umm Suqueim Beach in Jumeirah, Iran was beaten 5-3 in the semifinal stage of the 2009 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup qualifiers.

Iran had defeated Australia, Oman and China in the group stage.

The seven participating teams have been divided into two groups.

The finalists will be the Asian representatives at the 2009 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup to be played at the same venue in Umm Suqeim.
