Afshin Ghotbi’s team will take part in the tourney in preparation for the AFC Asian Cup 2011 qualifiers.
“Teams from Qatar (host), Iran, North Korea and Mali will participate in the event. The tournament can be helpful for our players to prepare them for the important upcoming matches,” secretary general of Iran Football Federation Mohammad Nabi said.
The winner will be awarded $250,000 in cash while the teams following earn 200,000, 150,000 and 50,000 respectively.
