MNA - Sepahan of Isfahan heavily defeated Moghavemat of Shiraz 5-1 in the Iran Professional League (IPL) on Tuesday.

Thus, the IPL pacesetter Sepahan advanced nine points clear of second-place Zob Ahan and 12 points ahead of third-place Persepolis.

Ibrahima Touré completed his hat trick against Moghavemat by scoring in the 43rd, 45th and 78th minutes. Ahmad Alenemeh and Emad Reza scored in the 75th and 87th minutes. Mohammad Sadegh Karami scored Moghavemat’s sole goal in the 51st minute.

Moghavemat defender Mohsen Neysani was sent off in the 38th minute for a foul on a Sepahan player in the penalty area. Hadi Aghili failed to convert the penalty kick into a goal.

The match was scheduled for two months ago at the Fooladshahr Stadium but was postponed due to snowfall.

Sepahan was exalted by this victory prior to Isfahan’s derby against Zob Ahan next week.
