The Tehran based team was held to a 1-1 draw by Paykan and dropped to third place while Zob Ahan of Isfahan defeated Malavan of Bandar Anzali 3-0 and became the IPL runner-up.
Relegated Abu Moslem was heavily beaten 5-2 by Mes of Kerman.
Sepahan finished first in the IPL followed by Zob Ahan, Esteghlal and Persepolis respectively.
Meanwhile, Esteghlal of Ahvaz, Abu Moslem of Mashhad and Moghavemat of Shiraz were relegated from the IPL.
