PLDC - In their worst performance so far, Persepolis lost at home with the result of 1-0 to Sepahan of Isfahan in the fourth week of the Iranian professional League on Tuesday, 5th November. The very ordinary match was played out without much action and the single goal for Sepehan was scored in the 90th minute by Amir Vaziri, who kicked the ball smoothly over
the head of Davood Fanaei and another defender and landed it in the host’s net.

Persepolis’s brave attempt to make a comeback in the 91st minute did not prove effective but they were awarded two penalties. Despite repeated attacks by both teams nothing was achieved for the rest of the match and the game ended with three minutes of injury time. Persepolis still stands second in the table with 7 points, but Zob Ahan has climbed to sixth place with 5 points.

The other matches of the league today were played between Fajr Shiraz and peykan which ended as a 0-0 draw. Pas and Bargh Shiraz equalized 1-1 as well and Siapa defeated Sanat Naft with the score of 5-3 .
