Hamburg's Mahdavikia recovers from back injury to return to practice

Berlin, Nov 8, IRNA - Hamburger SV's Iranian international striker Mehdi Mahdavikia returned to team practice after being sidelined with a severe back injury for three weeks, the club online site said Friday.
The former Pirouzi player was briefly hospitalized with back problems after his team's October 19 Bundesliga victory against Borussia Moenchengladbach. Mahdavikia only recently joined his team off the injury list, following a seven-month break as a result of a complicated disc surgery early this year.
Hamburg, currently ranked 13th with 13 points from 11 games, is facing relegation for the first time in its Bundesliga club history.
