Esteqlal edges Faraz

IRNA - Visitor Esteqlal humbled Faraz here Tuesday in the second-leg match of League Cup. Esteqlal of Tehran netted in the 83rd minute to beat the Qom-based Faraz 1-0 in Shahid Heidarian Stadium.
Alireza Nikbakht-Vahedi headed home an Ahmad Feiz-Karimloo corner seven minutes from the normal time, helping the blues advance to the last eight.
In the first match, Esteqlal defeated Faraz 2-1 winning the two-legged clashes 3-1 on aggregate. Esteqlal will meet Sepahan of Isfahan in the next round.
