
PLDC - Amir Ghalenoei, head coach of the Iran national football team, along with Omid Jamali, Head of the International Department of the Iran Football Federation, will travel to the United States to attend the 2026 FIFA World Cup Draw ceremony.
After earlier uncertainty due to reported visa issues for Iranian representatives, new developments confirm that both officials will depart Tehran on Thursday for Istanbul and then continue on to the United States.
The draw ceremony for the 2026 FIFA World Cup Draw will take place on Friday evening at 7:30 PM in Washington, D.C..
Iran has been placed in Pot 2 for the draw, along with the following teams:
Croatia, Morocco, Colombia, Uruguay, Switzerland, Japan, Senegal, South Korea, Ecuador, Austria, and Australia.
With the resolution of travel issues, Iranian football will now be officially represented at one of the most important global football events.
